52 Weeks to Preparedness - Week 3

Sorry this post is a little late - but this week's Prepardness challenge is Canned goods. This can be anything your family likes. Canned foods are GREAT to have on hand because they can be used in so many recipes or by themselves. Canned food also seem to be the one item that is always on sale somewhere - especially when stores have their big "Case lot" sales. So try to get a few extra cans this week to have on hand, and keep up the good work!!

52 Weeks to Preparedness - Week 2

This week's item to focus on is canned milk. Canned milk is a great thing to have on hand because you can get the nutrional value a regular milk, while being able to store it for long term use. I found this helpful conversion chart at http://everydayfoodstorage.net/ and thought it would help you when deciding how much powdered milk you would use in recipes.
Start with getting one can. Remember we are doing this in baby steps!
